Things to Practice at home!


Reading

*have your child read as much as possible!

*ask your child questions about the story as they are reading. 

 (who was the story about?, what was the setting?, what was the problem?, how was the problem solved?)

*have them spell words from previous spelling tests. 

(spell words with short vowels, long vowels, vowel teams (ai, ay, ee, ea, ie, oa, oe, oo, ou) tch words (batch, match, hatch,etc),

-ing, -ed.

*practice reading and spelling sight word cards.

Math

*Counting to 100

*Writing numbers to 100

*memorizing addition and subtraction facts

*telling time

*working with money
